It's still dark when we arrive.
Setting up the beach tent.
Boys are occupied during pound up.
Tamping... and tamping... and tamping...
It's a long walk out there to get the water we need, and a long walk back!
Tires me out just watching...
This is Anna's impression of Indiana Jones.
When you're too tired to "tamp, tamp, tamp" then try "stomp, stomp, stomp."

First bits being carved away.
Oh the glamor!

Dale finishes hauling water for the moment.
Blowing loose sand off the diaper ruffles.
We had a friend who said, "I'm sure glad I'm not the one who has to change THAT diaper!"
Legs, feet, and diaper finished. This was the most successful end of the sculpt.
Back half of a sand baby...
Starting to work on the front half.
Starting to carve "Sumo Baby's" arm...
Dale tamping the face.
Takes more effort than you might imagine, and leaves soreness that will last all week!

180 Baby was finished by a little past noon.
This was the most important angle, as this is how it was seen from the pier.
Big baby from a little farther back.
